Today we are going to talk about an exciting topic…

We are going to discuss about imagination…

And let me start with a quote:

“Imagination is more important than knowledge. For while knowledge defines all we currently know and understand, imagination points to all we might yet discover and create.” Albert Einstein

And here is another quote for you:

“From his neck down a man is worth a couple of dollars a day, from his neck up he is worth anything that his brain can produce.” Thomas Edison

And before we can go any further, let talk about your brain…

You see, your brain is the most powerful tool you have… and how you use it determines almost every outcome of your life.

What’s more, your brain is divided into three parts, the cerebrum, cerebellum and the brain stem. Each part controls specific functions of your body.

However, in this discussion, we’re going to focus on the cerebrum. The cerebrum is the control centre of your brain and is responsible for all the conscious activities of the body.It is the site of intelligence, learning and judgment. It functions in language, abstract and creative thought, memory, personality development, vision and sensations.

The cerebrum is divided into two hemispheres, the left and the right hemispheres. The right hemisphere is associated with creativity and artistic ability and the left hemisphere is associated with analytical and mathematical ability.

Creative imagination is important for two reasons; first communication with your self image can only be conducted through imagination and secondly, your self image accepts your mental images as real.

In other words, what you constantly imagine and visualize eventually is accepted as reality and your brain will work towards achieving your imagined success.

Imagination therefore is a powerful tool that everyone who endeavors to prosper can utilize to open the gates of possibilities to prosper in all areas of their lives.

Imagination helps bring the manifestations of our thoughts into reality.

There are many different views about imagination. In this report imagination is described as the ability and process of forming mental images of things or events that cannot be perceived with the natural senses.

It is the manufacturing centre in which all ideas of creativity, inventiveness, artistry, ingenuity and insight are born, nourished and developed.

Furthermore, creative imagination is not fantasy or unrealistic since the brain does not differentiate between reality and synthetic reality.

For creative imagination you need more than just wishful thinking and this is where you can tap into the power of harmonizing the right cerebral hemisphere (imagination centre) with the left cerebral hemisphere (intention centre).

You start to imagine things intentionally and bring your imaginations into ideas that can be developed to solve a problem.

In other words, intention is the driving power of creative imagination.

Manifestations of your goals and desires happen when you are able to connect the power of your imagination from the right hemisphere and the

power of your intentions from your left hemisphere.

And this can only happen though constant practice of intentional thinking. So, when you look at things around you, think of how you can improve them and eventually you will have great ideas to transmute into money.

In his book ‘Think and grow rich,’ Napoleon Hill described two forms of imagination: the synthetic and creative imagination. Synthetic imagination is based on memory from past experience, ideas and plans.

And that means, synthetic imagination works with the material of experience, education and observation. And most inventors rely on synthetic imagination to solve problems. Also, most educational systems encourage synthetic imagination as children are taught what to think on and not really how to think.

In most cases however, it’s how you think that matters most and thus brings about creative imagination or Imagineering as Walt Disney called it.

As already stated, creative imagination is the faculty through which the finite mind of human kind has direct communication with the infinite intelligence.

It is the faculty through which ‘hunches,’ inspirations and witty inventions are received.

All new ideas are developed through creative imagination.

Almost all great leaders in music, business, art, and other industry achieved their success as a result of creative imagination.

Walt Disney saw the Disney world, Mozart composed all time classics and Michelangelo created his masterpieces through the faculty of creative imagination.

However, since success leaves clues, you find that synthetic imagination is the most used form of imagination… when it comes to transmuting ideas

into monetary value.

But, some circumstances will call for the power of creative imagination. In this case therefore, those who constantly imagine things stand a better chance to achieve them since imagination is the workshop of ideas and ideas are the beginning of all fortunes.

What can you imagine?

According to Napoleon Hill…

“God seems to throw himself on the side of people who know exactly what they want, if they are determined to get just that.”

It is said that if you can’t imagine yourself living a life of nothing missing and nothing broken… then surely you won’t.

And that’s because your imagination is the playground for your ideas and concepts and whatever you can imagine you can have.

What ideas do you have?

General speaking, an idea is an impulse of thought that impels action by an appeal to your imagination… and that’s important…

Because… Ideas are priceless.

Creators of ideas determine their price, and if they are smart enough, they can get whatever they want. Ideas are the currency of the 21st century, without new innovative ideas companies will collapse and businesses will fail.

Here is the proof!

This is evidenced by the collapse of some European businesses and the shift of industry to India and China where there is cheap labour and greater employment poll.

It is better ideas that differentiate one company from another. And Only the companies with new innovative ideas can survive the competition.

And similarly, your success in business and in any other field, will be proportional to the ideas you embrace.

Now, Can You Imagine the possibilities

Just imagine how your family lives can be changed by just one million dollar business idea or a new invention. Can you imagine that?

Yes! Its possible to make a million or even billions from one single idea.

Now watch this … most christians rarely use their imaginations creatively. Instead, they’ll rather treat God as a slot machine where they put on seed only when they need something.

But God does not operate like the jackpot or any gambling system; for you to prosper you have to do things in the kingdom way … and that will require you to use your imagination.

And please understand this…

It is not wrong for you to use your imaginations to create things that are for the betterment of the world.

And while at this, I remember a story I head about a new Christian family who bought a television set and their pastor talked about being separate from the world.

He explained that as Christians we are not of this world therefore should keep ourselves away from the world’s influence.

Which is true to some extent.

And guess what happened next…

Sadly, as this couple switched their television set on, they were interrupted by an advert saying:

‘Digital television – the technology that brings the world into your house.’

The following day, the couple returned the television set back saying that they don’t want the world in their house.

Now listen carefully…

The first time I heard this story I laughed, but now I know many Christians walk in the same error of ignorance. Sure enough, if you don’t have control over your television it will tell you its vision and pollute your mind and imagination. However, you need to stop being so heavenly minded that you’re earthly useless.

And please don’t be weird.

God has given you a powerful brain to use. So, use your brain and imagine the possibilities.

Your imagination is the first step to a miracle process.

And here is why… reality starts with imagination?

For example, I believe that the woman with the issue of blood imagined that if she could just touch the hem of Jesus’ garment she would be healed and that started a process of healing in her body.

And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment: for she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole. Matthew 9:20

Now watch this… God is not a respecter of persons, if he did it for someone else, he will do it for you too.

And if you were discouraged by anything at all, let this woman’s testimony inspire you. You see, testimonies of other people who have achieved what we desire can reassure our faith.

And here is what happens when you imagine the possibilities:

You say… if so and so did it, surely I too can do it.

It’s only with this attitude and discipline to do what it takes that you too can be prosperous. The important point here is that millionaires are not born but are made by people who are determined to make a difference in their lives and those around them.

And those who dare to imagine the possibilities and follow the disciplines necessary to achieve their dreams are the ones who attain the impossible.

Plus God will always provide a way for those who know and live by the principles of the covenant to prosper in all areas of their lives. I charge you therefore … it is high time you put your imagination to work.

Mix it with your feelings; harmonize your thoughts with positive and right thinking and act on whatever new ideas you have.

Be creative in your imagination and always be on the look out to solve problems and improve lives around you.

Also remember … many people ruin their lives by imagining the wrong things … so, imagine the goodness of the Lord in your life.

And beware … if all you can imagine and think about is your lack, sickness and failure, you will definitely not prosper.

I know this sound harsh. But, it’s true.

For example, Job feared that he would lose his wealth and that his children would sin and get punished for sinning. He said what he imaged and he got what he feared most as illustrated in the passage below:

For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me. Job 3:25

You see, negative thoughts entertained breed worry and fear. Instead of worrying imagine the possibilities of seeing the goodness of the Lord in the

land of the living.

Furthermore, imagine things happening in the present tense not in the future and act as if the imagined scene were real and already accomplished.

Here is a true example of the power of imagination … the story of George Hall … an American prisoner of war (POW) in Vietnam, who allegedly was locked in the dark box of a North Vietnamese prison for seven years.

And has confessed that every day he played a full game of golf in that small box through the power of imagination and visualization.His imaginations escaped the gruesome condition of the prison and created a full course golf scenery. In his mind he saw all the holes and could picture his shots and the ball reaching its target.

And it is said that one week after his release from his POW camp, he entered the greater New Orleans open and shot a 76. And for those like me with little knowledge about golf, in short he did very well. … but how did he manage that?

I’m glad asked.

And here is how…

He practiced every day in his mind. And remember what I have already said… your mind can not differentiate between the imagined and real things.

And that’s the key of imagineering.

And the secret of success is that a disciplined imagination can help you achieve what others deem impossible.

In fact, impossible is the word for the people who do not know and understand the power of imagination.

Get rid of that word from your vocabulary now. Get rid of it.

And let your imagination shape your future..

In conclusion let me leave you with two quotes on imagination:

The first is from Robert Collier… one of the greatest salesman or copywriters…

And here is the quote:

“The great successful men of the world have used their imagination, they think ahead and create their mental picture in all its details, filling in here, adding a little there, altering this a bit and that a bit, but steadily building-steadily building.”

And before I forget, here is another quote from Jamie Paolinetti:

“Limitations live only in our minds. But if we use our imaginations, our possibilities become limitless”

My friend this is it. You have no option but to use your imagination.

Use your imagination to create the future you desire and remember the future belongs to those who can imagine it, plan it and live it.

Not long ago, I read this fascinating story…

On a beautiful late spring afternoon, twenty-five years ago, two young men graduated from the same college. They were very much alike, these two young men. Both had been better than average students, both were personable and both – as young college graduates are – were filled with ambitious dreams for the future.

Recently, these two men returned to college for their 25th reunion.

They were still very much alike. Both were happily married. Both had three children. And both, it turned out, had gone to work for the same Midwestern manufacturing company after graduation, and were still there.

But there was a difference. One of the men was manager of a small department of that company. The other was its president.

What Made The Difference

Have you ever wondered, as I have, what makes this kind of difference in people’s lives? It isn’t always a native intelligence or talent or dedication. It isn’t that one person wants success and the other doesn’t.

The difference lies in what each person knows and how he or she makes use of that knowledge.

And that is why I am writing to you and to people like you about…

Wow! what a story… and why am I sharing this story with you?

Here is why…

You see, many individuals struggle with the same question…

“What makes the difference?”

What is it that distinguishes successful individuals from others?

Two people can have the same skill and privilege but still perform differently as we have seen in the story above.

And here is why…

You see, focus is what separates the champions from the chameleons who like to blend in and hide in their surroundings.

Focus is one of the common elements you see in almost all successful people. It is what separates two students studying the same course in the same class and with the same teacher.

And whoever has the greatest focus wins the game and every failure is simply a result of broken focus.

For, example when the disciples saw Jesus walking on the water, Peter inquired if he could walk to Jesus. Jesus concurred and Peter walked on water for some time then he fixed his eyes on the situation surrounding him and thus lost focus on Jesus. As soon as this occurred Peter started to sink.

He lost focus… and started to sink.

But What exactly  is FOCUS?

I’m glad you asked.

Focus can be defined as the ability to concentrate or direct one’s attention or energy on something.

Concentration denotes the ability to sustain focused attention on a given object either external (people etc.) or internal (thoughts, feelings etc.).

The truth is, we all concentrate on something at any given time and the secret to success is to concentrate upon those things that you desire.

Every individual has the capacity and ability to concentrate fully upon those things that they love to do or have.

Focused concentration is the ability to maintain a positive outlook at the possibility of things working right even when presented with opportunities to be distracted.

And this is very important because, in order to achieve a great goal you need to direct your attention and energy on achieving the goal. In other words, to make a success of anything, you must be able to concentrate your entire thoughts upon the idea you are working on.

Most times your thoughts will tend to wander and as long as you are preoccupied with something else you won’t perform to your maximum.

Case in point …

How do you respond when you did not do something right?

Do you throw your hands in the air or do you calm down and focus on where you missed it and how you can improve or avoid the same mistake next time?

How you respond when you feel you’ve not done enough can tell a great deal whether you are material for success or not.

For example, while writing this my first book, I came across many challenges to quit and give up in life.

Seriously! I don’t know about you, but sometimes I found myself in a position where I had the option of questioning the whereabouts of God when things got tough.

The funny thing is, I know that God is always there for me and that He wants the best for my life…

Thus, I have no reason to be frustrated when things don’t work out the way I want.

Ok! Let’s get back to our lesson…

What do you think is the secret of Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan, Roger Federer, and many other successful sport personnel you know?

Before you rush into answering let me help you … skills don’t count much if you have broken focus.

In other words, the ability to maintain good focus is what really gives you an advantage over your competitors.

What’s more, FOCUS is the acronym for Follow One Course Until Successful. In short, don’t be a jack-of-all-trades … otherwise you will be master of none.

By doing many things at the same time you create a breeding place for confusion, clutter, procrastination and disappointments.

Also, FOCUS can also be used as an acronym for Faithfulness Only Can Unleash Success. And that means that you’ve to be faithful to the one course until you succeed.

Focus helps you concentrate your energy and achieve your goals and desires. For example, to achieve your goals you’ll have to make sure you finish your projects.

Why?

Because you won’t achieve any success based on the number of projects you’ve started, but only on those you’ve successfully finished.

Furthermore, focus builds momentum for faster results, and an individual with focused concentration would be more productive and effective than someone who follows many tasks at any given time.

Listen my friend, busy-ness is not business, and it does not equates to productivity either. In fact, most people are busy wasting their lives by following careers which leads nowhere.

Some people are so busy they don’t have time to plan their lives and thus live by default. Whatever comes their way is accepted as part of life. And you definitely don’t want to fall in that category. Do you?

Let me tell you more…

You see, to succeed you need to focus your energy and time on doing things that produce the required results; multiple tasks can result in you getting frustrated and overwhelmed with the responsibilities of life.

Having many ideas is great, but focus is more important. Therefore you don’t need to act on all your ideas at once, instead you can have an idea book and log your ideas for the future giving priority to the most important ideas at each time.

Here’s the important point… the path to prosperity is hidden in your daily agenda and what you choose to focus on.

And those who know the path to prosperity know the power of delayed gratification… through prioritizing things.

For example, you’ve a choice of spending your evenings watching soaps or spend this time building your family … or doing personal development or helping your children with school work.

Also you can choose to save money for your house or just spend every penny you get on technology gadgets that are introduced to the market almost every month.

Do you want to be more focused and don’t know where to start?

If thats you, don’t worry help is on the way. You see, your ability to focus depends on many factors and the following are just some of the main areas which affect your focus:

Your commitment - Your level of commitment will determine whether you stay put until you achieve your desires. How much are you committed to your dreams?

Your enthusiasm for the task – how enthusiastic are you about your goals?

Your exuberance to succeed is like energy and will propel you to high achievement.

Sometimes in business what counts most is the enthusiasm of the salesperson. For example, two people can have the same product and work for the same company but the person with more enthusiasm will always produce better results.

Your emotional and physical state – your emotions and physical state will in most cases be the determining factors on whether you maintain a focused concentration or not. Logic does not work when your emotions are out of control. In short, your physical health affects your efficiency and productivity.

In order to be efficient and productive, you need to be calm and collected … as this also helps you concentrate on your work. And when you are in complete harmony with your emotions it’s easier to work effectively.

On the other hand, when you’re pre-occupied with destructive and disruptive thoughts your concentration is polluted and it becomes very hard to focus on anything.

Your psychological state – Your mental state will always affect your ability to focus. For example, many sports coaches use psychological attacks on their opponents to break their focus.

This happens because when your mind is stayed on what the other coach has said, it’s hard to concentrate on what you want to do or to stick to your game plan.

Your environment – can have a great impact on your ability to concentrate. It is difficult to concentrate on your books when studying in a noisy library.

Your skills at doing the task – Skill gives you confidence to pursue your desires with greater focus and assurance of success. A skilled person can easily focus on whatever he is doing.

These are just some of the factors that can influence your ability to focus and I dare say you can name many more.

However, the point here is to get you to understand that to overcome all the distractions you need to focus intensely on what you want to achieve and also concentrate only on your strengths.

Trying to eliminate distractions could prove a difficult task especially in a busy world like ours; therefore you should also learn to focus even in the mist of distractions.

The world is full of opportunities to derail you from your vision but only those who choose to maintain their focus will succeed.

Can you imagine what would happen if you were leading a race and you got attracted by something else off the track? What do you think would happen?

If you decided to go after it that would obviously cut down your progress and you might even lose the race.

Well! In life there are many such disruptions as evidenced in the life of Jesus. The devil knew what Jesus Christ wanted and offered an enticing alternative; he offered him the kingdoms of the earth as a reward if he worshipped him as illustrated below.

Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; and saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. (Matthew 4:8-10)

What is it thats competing for your attention?

Just like Jesus, to fulfill your dream you’ll have to remain focused at all times.

You’ve to remain on your track to win the race.

Success is not achieved by those who can shout the loudest but only those who run with great focus and determination to the finishing point. Too many christians are busy ‘shouting about it’… and doing nothing worthwhile to help them achieve their success.

It’s high time for most christians to know and understand that to succeed you need to focus your energy. And focused energy is like a laser beam, it can cut through tough tasks just as easy as a laser beam would cut a bar of steel.

The more focused your mind is on being prosperous the godly way, the faster you will achieve your dreams.

When you are fully focused upon something your awareness is completely drawn to it and what happens around you poses little threat if any at all.

What’s the real lesson here?

To prosper, you must first create your inner focus and believe for your prosperity. And prosperity is to be attracted by the focus you generate and can not be achieved by those individuals who develop selective amnesia when it comes to the kingdom of God.

For you to prosper in the godly way therefore you must first focus on the advancement of God’s kingdom, and not on personal gain. To develop the power of focused concentration you need to tap into the power of attention. If you have selective attention deficit disorder (SAD) when it comes to prosperity you will never prosper … instead you’ll be SAD when ever you hear someone talking about prosperity.

In fact, many Christians become ‘SAD’ when their pastor start to talk about

money. I believe that’s not you.

And if that’s you, pay attention to this: Without the ability to pay attention to details it becomes almost impossible to focus or concentrate on anything for a good time.

And every decision you make towards financial freedom requires you to pay attention, sit down and count the cost. Attention can be developed through practice and just like muscles will grow when consistently utilized. You have full control over your mind and you can train it to pay attention to details.

Focus on the little things and concentrate on one big task at each given time. Focus will help you achieve quickly the results you desire through commitment, productivity, skillfulness and efficiency.

Are You Ready To Do The Impossible?

Then Get Focused. Without a crystal clear and concentrated focus, imagination simply becomes day dreaming. Therefore develop your focus skills and imagine the possibilities for a prosperous life.

… and now is the time to use you imagination, see the invisible and attain the impossible …

What’s the bottom line?

The bottom line is that no matter where you find yourself today, you’re where you are because of the choices you have made in the past and the things you have chosen to focus on.

You can’t continue blaming your parents, teachers, employer etc. It’s your responsibility to shape your life’s outcome. You have the keys to your future… now take this opportunity even in the midst of a credit crisis and design and live an extraordinary life.

If you’re in ministry… use this lesson to refocus your energy and prepare yourself for great rewards.

Hello! And welcome to Prosperity Cometh.

I’m really excited today.

Because, this post you’re about to read is one of my first publish post ever… and one of the most successful as well. It has been littered all-over the web since 2007… and today you’re in for a treat.

Ok! Enough said… let’s get cranking…

You see, maths was my best subject at school… And in mathematics, a formula is a fact, rule, or principle that is expressed in terms of mathematical symbols.

In other words a formula is simply a recipe, thus will always give the same results always when followed properly. In this sense therefore the formula for success should always leads to one thing-SUCCESS. However, it is a well known fact that some people like to take some shortcuts and thus a recipe doesn’t normally produce the same results always.

Having said that, there are some principles which will work irrespective of what you think or say and one such principle is gravity. If you jump from a house or from any height, according to the principle of gravity you will go down.

Your initially direction might be up but soon you will be headed downwards. This is a simple and yet powerful principle that will treat you in the same way as anyone else.

Similarly there are some principles of success (Success is the maximum utilization of the ability that you have.) that will always produce the same result when adhered to.

You see, while doing my research I found the following statement which is very true when it comes to success in business.
The formula for success = [(Your Human Capital (what you know) X Your Social Capital (who you know) X Your Reputation (who trusts you)].

This formula can be summarized as follows:
BUSINESS SUCCESS = APPLIED KNOWLEDGE x RELATIONSHIP x TRUST or BELIEVABILITY

And the following quote explains the formula in a nutshell:
“You can have everything in life that you want if you will just help enough other people get what they want.” Zig Ziglar

Ok! Lets breakdown the formula into manageable chunks:

(A) Applied knowledge

“Knowledge is power.” Can you identify with this saying?

This statement even though it sounds great, it is not really complete as it is. The truth is, knowledge is only potential power. The power is in the application of knowledge.

In other words, knowledge only becomes power when, and if, it’s organized into plans of action and acted upon.

The problem with many individuals is that they think accumulation of information is knowledge and also that knowledge is power.
However, nothing could be so misleading.

And here’s the kicker…
It’s not how much you know that will get you wealth, but how much you are doing with what you know that matters most. Napoleon Hill said it in a very convincing way when he said that knowledge will not attract money unless it’s organized and intelligently directed through practical plans of action to the definite end of accumulation of money.

For example you can know a lot about horse racing or celebrity gossip but this knowledge will be of little benefit to you and others unless you organize and package it. Acquiring information and knowledge and not using it will just make you a living library… and worse may leave you broke.

So if you have been looking for the secret to success, here is some really good news for you…

The secret to great wealth accumulation comes as a result of power acquired through highly organized and intelligently directed specialized knowledge.

And here is what most people don’t know – you don’t need to know everything.

Yes, you heard me right… in order to succeed in any business, you don’t need to know everything. As long as you know where to get the knowledge needed to solve a problem when it arises, then you can succeed.

What; more, successful people like Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, Bill Gates and many others know that to prosper you have to surround yourself with people with specialized knowledge.

In fact, successful people are those who never stop acquiring specialized knowledge related to their major purpose, business or profession.

If you’re a business person you have to keep on learning new marketing and selling strategies etc.

On the other hand, if you’re lazy or have a habit of unsuccessful people… who stop learning the day they finish formal education… then you must as well forget about success. There is absolutely no virtue in ignorance whichever way you look at it.

In life the things you pay for are those that you cannot make, operate or even procure all by yourself. In other words, ignorance is not bliss you will pay for whatever you don’t know. For example if your car breaks down and you can’t fix it, you will have to pay a mechanic to fix it for you. In short, whatever you don’t know will cost you.

As Zig Ziglar said, when you apply what you know to help other people achieve whatever they want, they will also help you achieve whatever you want. In other words, your level of success will be directly proportional to the magnitude of the problems you’re willing to solve for others… and you can do this easily if you acquire and apply specialized knowledge.

And that’s because…
Every invention, service and product is a solution to a certain problem. If you will just listen to people when they talk about their problems, and find out what they want and what you ought to supply them with, and then supply it, your success will be guaranteed.
And that’s you must first do an extensive Market Research before venturing into any business… especially… online buisness.

Case in point… You must first know the demand. You must first know what people need, and then invest yourself where you are most needed. Find a hungry niche and give them what they want. In this way you will be a problem solver .Also, to be a problem solver you need to understand people’s needs and thus the need for relationship.

Financial prosperity is a numbers thing. He who can make more clients or customers prospers. It’s very difficult for a person to achieve anything they desire in life without the cooperation of other people. On the other hand if you render quality and timely service to many you are destined for greatness. Where the people are not valued success becomes scarce, and where people are valued and feels important success is inevitable.
All successful people know the value of good relationships. They know and master the skill of treating each individual as a king. Everyone is special in their eyes and the secret of great success is to make them feel even more special. When you treat people in a special way no matter who they are, they will reward you much more than you can ever imagine possible.
The truth is that nobody really cares who you’re and how much you know until they know that you care. If you just run over people’s emotions and never pay attention your success is limited. To touch people’s lives you must first establish a relationship with them. When you can identify with a lot of people, they will respect you for who you are and in the long run your simplicity and approachability will pay you greatly.

What’s the real lesson here?

Almost every successful leader, businessperson, salesperson and many others who deal with people know the value of giving people what they yearn for most- recognition.
People want to be important and feel that they are needed. Your duty therefore is to make them important. Make them feel like kings. What’s more, success does not come cheap and it’s almost impossible to prosper on a solo-project. Everyone who achieves much does it with the help of other people. And people will help you achieve your desires if you help them achieve theirs. In other words all success is based on relational success. Without good relationships between the employers and employees, salesperson and customers, the teacher and the students etc. it becomes very difficult to succeed.
How do you establish good business relationships?
Business relationships like any other relationship don’t just happen. Relationships don’t just happen automatically. They don’t just appear, they are created and developed. Similarly, successful business people develop a network of customers, friendships and Joint ventures.
In other words, to build a successful online (or offline) business, you must balance your love for self and your love for others. And this can only be achieved if you show genuine interest in others.

You see, if you don’t like people they won’t buy any service or product from you. And thats because… people buy you before they can buy anything from you. There is no other way outside relationships- you have to be genuinely interested in helping people succeed in order to prosper financially. A genuine interest in people is priceless. A pleasing personality is even more profitable because not only will it get you friends but long time trusted customers and even business partners.

So the next time you meet a new person treat them like a king… and always ask yourself… how you can add value to their lives. Who knows you might just have met and talked to a millionaire or a future president of your country… so treat everyone like a king.

So, if business relationships are that important…Are you prepared to pay the price?
You see, only those who are prepared to pay the price will benefit from successful relationships. It doesn’t cost that much only a genuine interest in people would do you good.
You have to understand that to succeed you don’t only need to treat your prospects or customers with great respect… but you also need to pursue successful business owners… especially those in your field… as this could result in great joint ventures for your business.

Also, you need to ask yourself …
Who are your real friends and what contribution do they have in your business and life as a whole?
As we have already established, your success is hidden in your ability to relate with other people. Therefore, this calls for excellence in all areas of your life… in business, family, teamwork, mastermind group, class, church etc.
And that’s not all… a man chooses his side by the relationships he is prepared to end and those which he is willing to pursue and invest in. The choice is yours; you’re in control of your destiny. Choose today to be wealthy; choose to have great friends and choose to be a man of integrity. Above all apply wisdom in all your deals and prefer relationship over making quick gains.
How to instill trust in your customers
Genuine customer trust in your business can be a rewarding competitive advantage especially in today’s world where competition can be global.
Every successful business understands that earning customer trust is the only way to win and keep customers coming back to you. Trust is built slowly over time. However, once established, trust births customer loyalty for your products or services.And, loyal customers can quadruple your returns.

The following will guide you towards establishing customer T-R-U-S-T and can be applied both online and offline.

Transparency: Let the customers know who is behind the business or the products you are promoting and also why you are doing what you are doing. When the customers know you better or at least perceive that you are a real individual concerned about their success, they will help you succeed. It’s much easier to establish trust through person-to-person contact than online and therefore you have to do more online to instill trust in your customers. You must also be truthful about everything you do and the quality of your products or services. Match your promises and actions with your values. Compromising your character and values for a quick profit is not an option. Tell the truth and nothing but the truth. Nothing can beat sincerity and honesty in your business and nothing is harder to regain than lost trust.

Respect the customer and make them feel special. Any relationship will hardly thrive where there is no respect for each individual involved in the relationship. Your part as a businessperson is to be responsible for all your actions and treat customers with respect. There is a saying that the customer is the boss and the sooner you learn it the better. Whenever you treat customers in a special way and reward them accordingly they will continue to buy from you even if you increase the price. As long as the customer trust you and your services or products you are the boss, but don’t let them know that. Just act as if they are the boss and you will reap the rewards. People will always thrive where they are loved, respected and made special than where they are just tolerated.

Usefulness, Unbeatable and Unbelievable: Why should the customer buy from you? In order to build a lasting relationship of trust with your customers, you must be useful to them. The possibility is that there might be many other people offering products or services that are similar to yours thus you have to be different to attract the customers.

Your objection must be to add value to the customer and not just sell them a product or service. You can not afford to portray yourself as a money magnet. Magnets only attract things to them selves and they never give away.

By being a giver you will automatically put yourself on the receiving side. To be unbeatable you must add value to your customers. You can add value by providing your subscribers or customers with valuable, quality offers and advice.

Use your newsletter (ezine) and mailing list to keep in touch with the customers. Communication will help you reinforce customer trust especially when it’s personalised. Provide advice, tips, hints, inspirational quotes, and quality endorsements freely. In other words promise well and deliver the best. There are very few businesses that offer such an unbelievable service.

Security, Satisfaction and Specific – as already stated it’s much easier to establish customer trust offline than online. However, it’s possible to instill customer trust by paying attention to their fears and concerns. Customers need a sense of security and privacy especially considering the high rates of internet fraud and identity theft and many other scams that have infiltrated the internet. Where there is customer satisfaction business grows.

Are you customers satisfied by your services and their security concerns?

Is your site secure? There is seriously no way around security satisfaction and you must provide your customers with a sense of security. Security icons on your website such as (Hacker Safe) are very useful.

In fact, security icons are transactional in the case that they represent a safe exchange of their money for the products or services without risking the customer’s safety.

Also, you must be specific about what your product can do and what benefits can be gained from your services. Don’t leave anyone guessing about what you’re selling and the value of your services.

Plus, remember trust is developed with time but can be accelerated by specificity and clarity… there always aim for clarity. For example, it is rewarding to spell out your guarantee clearly and let your word be your bond. Make sure you stand by whatever guarantees your give and make it easy for customers to leave feedback and complain about any service or product they are not satisfied with. Customer dissatisfaction can tarnish your business image and thus the sooner you resolve any customer problem the better.

Testimonials: Testimonialsare a very powerful tool you can use to instill customer trust. On itself a positive testimonial is tempting and can speed up the buying process. Using testimonials, or “user feedback,” to promote products and services has proven to be one of the most effective ways to build credibility and earn customer trust.
It is therefore very crucial to actively solicit testimonials from satisfied customers and display them where customers can easily see them.

Furthermore, an endorsement of a satisfied customer can work wonders on your behalf and this is especially true for online business. For example the higher the number of positive feedback on eBay can actually increase a sellers business. People like to do business with someone that is trustworthy and they need that extra assurance provided by fellow customers.

And if that’s not enough, Warren Buffet once said, “Trust is like the air we breathe, when it’s present, nobody really notices. But when it’s absent, everybody notices.”

So make sure your message is believable and aim to instill trust in all your customers.

And don’t forget this:

We’ll start with wisdom and advice from Dr Mike Murdock…

In other words, the success of a mentorship relationship hinges on the commitment of the two parties involved.

Also your level of commitment and willingness to change play a pivotal role.

Here is something to consider:

How much do you want to get out of this relationship and are you willing to take total responsibility for your development?

Asking yourself this question on several occasions could help you stay focused.

You must also be teachable …

Because …

Your progress will be determined by your ability to receive and act upon instruction.

You should be prepared to accept new challenges and be comfortable with receiving positive feedback.

The frequency of the meetings would be useless if you never put into action what you’ve learned from the previous meeting.

If that’s not enough to get you moving, here is biblical advice for you:

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: for he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. (James 1:22)

Don’t just be a hearer but be a doer as well. Its only when you follow the instructions and advice given to you that you can leverage yourself to rapid results. And please, never allow what you already know be a hindrance to your progress; many people fail because they think they already know what the other person has to offer.

For example when I started my keyboard lessons I had a great problem fitting with my mentor’s program. I thought I knew what he was teaching me and I just wanted to get on with playing songs.

It was not long when I saw the beauty of knowing the keyboard, the major and minor scales, inversions, chord progressions and time signature.

Also know that for the mentoring relationship to work, you must put your maximum effort in what you do at all times and be honest with yourself.

If you don’t do what you know you’re supposed to do you won’t be cheating your mentor but you will be deceiving yourself.

You must also exhibit a healthy positive attitude towards learning … be teachable.

Do you pay attention and listen when your mentor speaks?

Listen actively all the times and ask questions when you don’t understand something.

It’s your responsibility to make sure that there is a consistency in communication between you and your mentor. This is very important for your development and just like in any other form of relationship communication must always be valued.

There are many things that can be said about a good protégé or mentee and the best advice for you is to be prepared to face new challenges and embrace change with optimism.

Above all have a realistic expectation and accept total responsibility for your success or failures.

How to get most out of the mentorship relationship

Once the practicalities of finding a mentor has been dealt with, it’s very important to establish the guidelines for the relationship.

The first step is to make sure that the purpose and objectives of the relationship are well understood by both parties.

When the objectives have been set, you can then decide on the layout or format of your program.

Cover as much as possible including things such as discussion boundaries, confidentiality clause and accountability. You can also set up the length and frequency of the meetings.

Another important decision to be made at the start is about the venue for the mentorship sessions. Your venue should be suitable for the kind of the program you have.

If your sessions need you to pay much attention and concentration make sure to get a quiet area with less distraction. The format of your meetings will have a great contribution on what sort of venue to use.

For example if you are learning to use new business software probably the best place to use would be an office at work.

It’s also crucial to establish how and when you’re going to do your evaluation process. Progress evaluation is very important and can help you focus on the areas that need more attention.

For example when I started my keyboard lessons, I overlooked the importance of time signatures only to get stuck at the end. I realized that it wouldn’t be of any use to know all the right chord progressions and scales if you can’t play the notes at the right time. Progress evaluation could have saved me a lot of time. Evaluation could also prove necessary when it comes to terminating the relationship.

Are the objectives met or is there any progress?

As important as it is, sometimes there comes a point where the relationship has to be terminated especially if things are not changing for the better. It is therefore wise to always have conditions and arrangement for terminating the relationship in place.

As a conclusion, I want you to remind you that a mentorship relationship is a powerful form of leverage and should therefore be nursed properly. And Just like in any other relationship there will be disagreements there and there. But through communication, commitment and determination you could easily solve your differences and enjoy the overall benefits of a mentorship relationship.

It’s embassing to admit this but I first heard about the word mentor from the man I consider my first mentor … the late Jim Rohn.

As I listened to Jim Rohn going throw the philosophy and principles he learnt from his mentor Mr Earl Shoaff I got so excited and decided to have him as my ‘secret’ mentor. And almost every time I hear the word mentor I think of Mr. Shoaff. According to Jim Rohn, Mr Shoaff was a brilliant mentor.

Don’t you think it is nice to have someone like Mr. Shoaff in your life … someone who would totally challenge the way you look at life and guide you in your personal development?

For those who do not know who Mr. Shoaff is or who have never heard of him, let me take this opportunity to introduce you to my ‘secret’ mentor.

I have never met him or heard him speak either but from what I have gathered from Jim Rohn, this is the kind of man I would like to emulate. Jim Rohn describes him as his original mentor; a man, who never went to college, never went to university and only managed grade 9. Yet for his simplicity became a great influence to Jim Rohn, and to many others who came across his teachings.

Indeed a mentor affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops. Mr. Shoaff was so straight to the point that you could hardly miss what he said.

He had such great wisdom and philosophy about things.

For example I recall Jim Rohn saying that when he commented, “this is all the

company pays,” Mr. Shoaff replied, “No! That is all they pay you.”

When Jim told him that things cost too much, he would say, “No! You can’t

afford them.”

I was so happy at the discovery of this new philosophy and determined to live a life of purpose and find myself a good mentor along the way.

A good mentor is a valuable asset and can provide a fresh perspective of looking at problems and situations.

Many people today repeat the same mistake and say “that’s all the company pays.” Do you mean the company pays you only? If that is all they pay then it means you are the only one getting paid. But the truth as already seen is that that’s what they only pay you.

And you might have people getting double your pay in the same company. So for thing to change for you, you must change your perspective first and also seek ways to improve yourself so as to get a better salary too.

Following Mr. Shoaff ‘s instructions and teachings Jim Rohn grew into a great mentor himself. He learnt and has been teaching that… for things to change you have to change first.

In other words, your philosophy about prosperity has to change first if you want to prosper. You have to have this mind that God owns cattle in a thousand hills and does not eat beef … therefore beef is for you.

You see, Jim Rohn challenged my philosophy of life by saying, “Success is not to be pursued but attracted by the person you become.”

I also learned from him that life put more valuable things on the high shelf so that you can’t get to them until you qualify.

And I also learned that personal development is necessary to help your qualify.

Armed with this philosophy I began my journey in personal development and my life has never been the same again.

Now I know that what I am writing to you is not ‘mind over matter’ philosophies. This isn’t Christian Science either but God’s principles.

God gave each one of us a mind to create and design a future we desire. He has laid

around us all resources necessary to help us achieve our goals and dreams. He has provided us with heroes, role models, and mentors to guide us.

He also gave us the manual for life, his word which is alive and active… The Bible.

For example, we find many success stories of mentors and their mentees in the Bible … such as Moses mentoring Joshua; Elijah mentoring Elisha, Jesus mentoring the disciples, Paul mentoring Timothy and the list goes on and on.

So with this kind of evidence, my question to you is … Who is your mentor?

And please don’t rush into answering this question, take time and be sure of whom

your mentor is.

Ok! let me help you understand what a mentor is in more details first.

A mentor is someone with more experience than you in certain a field and serves as a guide towards your development.

A mentor is a wise and trusted counselor or teacher.

A mentor is not somebody whom you admire but someone whose

instruction you follow.

The acid test of whether someone is your mentor, is based on you following and implementing their advice. You may not like it, but still do it.

In his book ‘Everyone needs a mentor,’ David Clutterbuck described a mentor as a more experienced individual willing to share their knowledge with someone less experienced in a relationship of mutual trust.

In our society today kids grow up wanting to be Superman or Spiderman.

And without good mentors they end up copying wrong lifestyles from television

characters or celebrities.

Now do you understand what a mentor is?

Your mentor is not someone you wish to be like but someone whom you can emulate.

A good mentor gives you instruction and also coaches you on how to

reach your maximum potential.

In this case therefore an ideal mentor should be someone you know personally. However, you can still develop a great relationship even if you have never met your mentor in person.

A mentor should by all means be someone whom you share a compatible philosophy and above all someone who believes in you.

Furthermore, your mentor should be someone who has walked the road before you, someone who has tackled and mastered the discipline you desire.

He should at least know the smooth and rough side of the road.

He should at least, have faced the challenges that you’re likely to face and also enjoyed the victories you desire.

He knows what to do and also what not to do.

His role therefore is to help you go through important transitions in development.

These might include your spiritual, financial, social, academic and other areas of

your life.

A mentor gives you an opportunity to learn from his mistakes and successes.

Plus, mentors give you an advantage to climb a secure ladder much faster than if you were on your own.

They don’t want to see you fall or fail but they believe you can achieve even greater things than they had achieved.

There is really no shortcut to prosperity, however, mentors are like a catalyst and improve your chances to succeed.

From a chemistry point of view a catalyst is something which speeds up a chemical

reaction without itself being one of the reactants or products (in other words,

without being consumed).

In the same manner, mentors are supposed to be the catalysts and not the byproducts of your success.

I don’t want to bore you here, however, I want you to fully understand the importance of what a mentor is and also see the advantage of choosing your mentors wisely.

The truth is, we all have heroes.

And in most cases our heroes give us a framework of who we can become if we diligently and persistently pursue our ideals.

As Fred Smith says in his book ‘You and your Networks,’

“Heroes are the personification of our ideals, the embodiment of

our highest values.”

But heroes are not necessarily our mentors.

We also have role models whether we are aware of it or not.

For example, a son shapes his life after his father and a daughter after her mother.

And this is important because we’re all born ‘ignorant’ in a way to life situations and we tend to shape our lives by the influence we get.

The people around us mould us into what we eventually become.

Therefore, our models make us realize and pursue our function.

They present a picture of what to do. Their contribution is mostly aligned to what we do not who we are.

By knowing your heroes and your role models one can vaguely predict your outcome in life, but being introduced to your mentor definitely exposes

and present who you are.

Like Jesus Christ once said, “If you have seen the father you have seen the son.”

Jesus did exactly what the father would do, and so shall you if you follow the instructions of your mentors.

So how do you go about choosing a mentor?

Listen! If you don’t have a mentor get one now.

But before you can choose a mentor get your foundation established first. You have to understand that mentors are just human beings as you.

They are not perfect and neither are they all knowing. In fact, a mentor who has never been a protégé is questionable.

You must also know that no one mentor will ever be all-sufficient.

Only God is all-sufficient, perfect and can answer all your questions.

You must also understand that … a mentor is to you… what yeast is to dough- he gives you power to rise and expand.

When identifying a mentor there are several qualities to look for such as good character, trustworthiness, ability to keep confidences, good communications skills,

honesty, respect, wide range of experience, and above all a genuine willingness to help you in your development.

A good mentor is therefore worth all the attention you could give to man because he/ she is not in the game to win but to make you a winner.

And here is what you have to do to find a great mentor…

In most cases you should look for someone who has accomplished goals that might

be similar to yours and also have similar values to you.

Even though experience and skill is what you are looking for, always rank loyalty and integrity on the top of your list.

Why?

Because …

Good character is more valuable than experience.

Your mentor should be someone you are able to approach with honesty, openness and respect.

The individual must also be comfortable with giving feedback even when it hurts.

Most people think that it is better to have someone older than you as mentor, however experience and maturity are not a matter of age but comes

with responsibility … therefore choose wisely.

The following steps could be handy in your search for a mentor:

• What are your goals concerning the mentoring relationship?

• Who are the prospective individuals and what is it that makes them suitable to be your mentor?

• Select the best suitable candidate for your needs based on the qualities already

discussed above.

• Arrange for an appointment… this could be either in person or online.

• Prepare a short list of questions to guide you in the conversation.

• Find out more about your prospect’s goals and achievements

During your conversation make sure you state your goals and request feedback.

It’s also advisable to take notes during the discussion. If you are interested in establishing a long term relationship, let the candidate know and find out if

they would be willing to meet again in future.

Always make sure you follow up with a thank you note and perhaps a gift. It’s an

advantage to let the person know how much you appreciate their input and

willingness to help you.

And for your goodness’ sake, take action on the advice you receive all the time and review your actions on the next meeting.

So, you must have an unquenchable desire or passion for whatever you want to accomplish. To thrive in your new business, you must be passionate about what you’re building.

You must be crystal clear of what you want to achieve and persue it as if your life depended on it. Well, it does in some ways.

The truth is, almost everyone want to live a healthy, wealthy and happy life.

However, as we all know, not everyone is prepared to pay the price for living such a victorious life.

Most individuals just like to talk about it… but have no corresponding action.

You have to understand that your passionate desire is the very first step towards living an extraordinary life. But, it will take more than just passion to see your dreams come true.

In other words, passion without direction or clarity is useless.

And, how do you attain that clarity and direction?

Through Goal Setting.

Goal Setting is not an option, if you’re to succeed. And that’s because your goals are actually the blueprint that will guide you through the tough times in your business development. And  I’m not just talking about your personal goals… I’m also talking about your business goals as well. For example what do you want to achieve and by when? What will success look like to you?

The thing is, without  goals your business will be run on default mode…

And since your goals are a blueprint, they’ll  direct you and  actually increase your chances for success.

In other words, to be extraordinary, you MUST forsake the ordinary. You must first free yourself from the norms and ethos of the mediocre.

You must start to envision, embrace and attain an extraordinary view of your daily agenda… and approach.

Taking Decisive Action

The ability to spot opportunities and act decisively is one of  the biggest differentiating factors between the super rich and the poor.

While the poor are still pondering about where they are going to get a financial miracle, the rich are busy searching for opportunities to increase their wealth.

And when they come across a great opportunity they take decisive action quickly… while the poor procrastinate.

Yes, to succeed you must make quick and calculated actions… the sooner you say NO to procrastination… the better.

Goal Setting on its own, as powerful as it is… will never produce any result. You must be an ACTION man or woman.

Decisive action is a must have characteristic for any aspiring entrepreneur.

Why? Because as an entrepreneur, every decision you make has a direct and immediate impact on your business … a delay in action could cost you more than you’re prepared to pay.

This means that most of the time, you’ll have to make a decision quickly based on whatever information you have at hand.

There is no time for perfectionism as a business person … so you must learn to obey your guts and trust your instincts.

And yes, you’ll make mistakes on the way, but remember the only people who don’t make mistakes are dead… as long as you’re  alive, you’ll make mistakes. What’s important is to know how to solve them quickly, take decisive action and avoid losses and regrets.

The failure to act decisively, to implement important decisions quickly, is a trend followed only by those destined to fail.

In other words, for you to remain competitive and relevant in today’s business environment, you’ll need to be a proactive person.

You see, most people fail not because they have no passion or imagination, but because they can’t get themselves to act.

Think about it! It’s not that you don’t know … I can guarantee you, if you look back you’ll realize that there’re things you did not achieve because you failed to follow through and do what you had to do.

You can be the most talented person in the world or have the best ideas, and still  fail… if you don’t  take decisive action.

I challenge you to be an action man or woman.

Exceed expectations.

Go the extra mile, do things quicker, and do things with passion and determination to see them through.

You see, anything worth doing well, is worth doing wrong or not so well the first time.

DETERMINATION

So far you have done everything right … you’ve followed your desire, set definite goals, taken appropriate and timely action … But … you’re still not getting the results you want …

So what do you do?

most people would throw in the towel, call it a day and quit. And some will move on quickly looking for the next BIG thing… AKA opportunity seekers.

The problem with opportunity seeking is that only a few individuals ever strike gold… the rest are always chasing the ‘new wave’ they come across.

Finish What You Started

In reality it’s not that people have no desires, but the majority have no backbones.

They wobble at the first sign of opposition or failure.

This are those who like to start things and never finish them.

On the other hand we have people who come what may, will stretch their neck out, refuse to blend in the crowd … and pursue their dreams with courage and resolute determination.

They have the drive and patient of Abraham Lincoln, who refused to give up in the midst of failure after failure.

They have patience for everything in life. They’re not procrastinators … but they have the staying power… the will to just hold on and persevere.

These are the people who know that great works are not performed by strength but perseverance.

In fact, this reminds me of Thomas Edison, who reportedly ‘failed’ on his attempt to make a light bulb, 10 000 times… and when confronted, declared: “If I find 10,000 ways something won’t work, I haven’t failed. I am not discouraged, because every wrong attempt discarded is another step forward.”

He went on to say:

“Many of life’s failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up”

And he also said:

“Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.”

In other words for you to succeed you need to have the determination and mindset like Thomas Edison. The man didn’t know how to fail.

Thomas Edison was awarded 1,368 separate and distinct patents during his lifetime.

Oh! Ye! He was a genius. I can hear someone whispering to themselves.

Well! I don’t know about that, what I know is that Thomas Edison himself,  said …

“Genius is one per cent inspiration and ninety-nine per cent perspiration. Accordingly, a  ‘genius’ is often merely a talented person who has done all of his or her homework.”

In other words he worked hard and quitting was not an option for him.

I really don’t want to preach the gospel according to Edison here, but I just want to leave you with just two more thoughts to ponder on …

“My principal business consists of giving commercial value to the brilliant, but misdirected, ideas of others…. Accordingly, I never pick up an item without thinking of how I might improve it.” Thomas Edison

Ok, everyone is feels welcome now … so let’s get going.

In the last post, we established that there are really only THREE ways to become wealthy.

And this are:

1. LUCK
2. CRIME
3. BUSINESS

We’ve also agreed that the first two ways are not our objective… Our aim is to design and start a successful business.

However, we also agreed that not everyone can start a successful business. But there is hope for you.

Because, in this article we’re going to touchbase on the reasons why most new business comers fail and how you can avoid being part of the statistics.

Whats more, by the end of this post, you will be very clear about whose responsibility it is to ensure your business success and what it really means to be an entrepreneur.

You see, there are several reasons why small businesses fail in their first five years of existence.

One of the major reasons is that most people go into business with wrong believes and assumptions about business. In other words few people really understand what it really means to be an entrepreneur.

For example, most people believe all you need is to build a business then customers will come. Even more dangerous most people think you need common sense to succeed in business. The problem with that ideology, is that common sense is not common. Furthermore, this lie has killed so many good business ideas.

Just for a moment, do you think Bill Gates relied on common sense to build microsoft? What about Richard Branson of Virgin? What about Steve Jobs of Apple.

My friend, if all it took was common sense… many will be making it big time.

But that’s not the story.

In fact, 90-95% of all new business fail within two years of existence. And of the 5-10% which remain, most of them are just glorified jobs.

And here is why:

“Of the small businesses that fail, 90% do so because of a lack of skills and knowledge on the part of the owner.” Dunn and Bradstreet

I think you should read this quote again and let it sink in.

If nothing else got your attention this far, this quote must. Do whatever you deem necessary and make sure this gloom picture challenges you to grow your business knowledge.

So how do you overcome being swallowed along with other cluessless entrepreneur wannabies?

Before answering this great question, I want to remind you of the following quote that you have already seen in the first post in this series.

“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan “press on” has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.” Calvin Coolidge

Did you get that? Great!

Now I want you to do me a little favor. I want you to grab a cup of tea or coffee…its your choice. And find a quite place…empty of all things human, if thats possible.

In the remaining part of this report, we’re going to focus on the must have qualities for business success.

This would give you an immediate advantage in business. (If you don’t want to start or run your own business you might as well stop reading now).

In short, here is what you need to succeed in business. In fact, these principles can help you achieve success in almost every area of your life.

Here there are:

• An Unquenchable  Desire
• Definite Goal(s)
• Decisive Action
• Determination
• Discipline

For the time being we will focus on these big guys only. And that’s because, for you to succeed your must be very clear of what is it that you really want to achieve and have the drive to see it through.

Do you think you have what it takes? You sure do. All you need to do now is listen up.

Pay attention!

This is a matter of good life and not so good life… it all depends on what you will do with this quality information.

But before we get any further lets define what success is.  In fact let me share with you what I consider to be the best definition of success…

Maybe you’ve heard this quote a hundred times before and you have tried all you know how to realize your dreams, but failed.

Maybe you’ve even ‘shouted’ about it or dreamt about it…

Maybe you’ve come to doubt if you will ever live your dreams…

I’ve been there too. My doubting Thomas… screamed every time I saw an opportunity like this … and I couldn’t blame you either.

In fact, I nearly gave up. But the passage below changed my life…and can change yours too.

The Portrait of an Achiever

1831 He Failed in Business – Bankruptcy.

1832 Defeated for Legislature.

1834 Failed in Business again – Bankruptcy.

1835 Sweetheart and Fiancée died.

1836 Nervous Breakdown.

1838 Defeated in an Election.

1843 Defeated for U.S. Congress.

1846 Defeated again for U.S. Congress.

1848 Defeated once again for U.S. Congress.

1855 Defeated for U.S. Senate.

1856 Defeated for U.S. Vice President.

1858 Defeated again for U.S. Senate.

Yes! This is a true story. Can you see the power in this simple summary.

It seems like this guy knew something about success that only a minority know today.  He knew that there is no such thing as failure… unless you quit.

And guess what? You might have heard about him before. If not don’t worry.

His name?… Abraham Lincoln.

Does that ring a bell?

Abraham Lincoln had a definite goal and refused to fail.

You see,  “You cannot fail…UNLESS you quit!”

A quitter never wins and a winner never quits.

Check this out.

It took Abraham Lincoln almost 30 years to achieve his goal.

And this reminds me of the story of another Abraham in the Bible, who also saw victory in what many people would have considered hopeless.

For 25 years, he believed that he was going to be the father of many nations as promised by God. And when he was 100 years and his wife 90 years, his promise came to fruition…

Just pause for a moment here and let this sink in. This guy was 100 years and his wife 90 years … and had no legitimate child.

And guess what?

He didn’t have Viagra either… But he refused to fail and finally he got his reward… Isaac was born.

Ok! May be you don’t want to wait that long. And that’s purely understandable. But what if you give up? Will that make any difference?

Have you ever heard those people who say “I can’t do this course or that because it takes five years or so and by the time I finish I will be 40 or whatever years old?”

If thats you, Shame on you. Because you fail to realize that either way you will get old … anyway.

Furthermore, things might get worse for you. And here is what worse looks like – Old and Poor.

You seriously don’t want that to happen to you. Do you?

Well there is hope.

Quite frankly, it doesn’t matter how bad you think your situation is. Believe me it’s not all that bad … not that bad at least.

The fact that you can still breath means you can change. Nothing is strong enough to hold you back against your cooperation.

Also the fact that you have read this far, shows me you have the necessary ingridients for success.

My friend this is not a gimmick … this could just be the missing key to your wealthy place. A road map to the irresistible lifestyle …most people can only dream about.

Skeptical?

Well, I understand… especially because of the daylight robbery we live in today…

Honestly, I don’t blame you for being skeptical.

In your position, I would be skeptical as well. Furthermore, I don’t believe 97% of the ‘hype’ that I get through my email… especially the ones that promise to show me the ‘secrets’ to getting rich quickly … without effort or work.

Not that I wouldn’t be happy to discover such secrets if they existed. The point is… There is no such thing as instant riches.

In most cases these misleading messages are bald-faced lies, from unashamed swindlers and con-men.

And their goal is to hypnotize your greed glands, and rob you of your hard earned cash.

So what should you do then?

You see, the truth is… there’re only THREE ways of becoming wealthy (adopted from Ted Nicholas).

• Luck – For example, Winning the lottery…  inherit … or marrying into money… or being handed a large sum of cash for free… or discovering an oil well or diamond field in your back garden. Trouble with that is… well… you have to get lucky! I’m sure you know there is a greater chance of being hit by lighting than winning the lottery. Besides, you don’t want to live your life waiting for the next lottery draw! Do you?

• Crime – Robbing a bank, becoming a drug dealer, becoming a fraudster. Well, you know where you’re going if you get caught…  And you seriously don’t want to be involved in crime… Do you? After all you’re a responsible citizen …isn’t?

So forget luck — unless your definition of luck is: “Labour Under Correct Knowledge.”

Also forget crime — the penalties are too high, plus, it hurts others and it’s beneath your self-respect and dignity. You’re better than that.

So that just leaves you with ONE way of getting rich! And it is…

“Running your own successful business!”

“But not everyone can start a successful business”…  Did I just hear you say that?
